8月24日と25日の札幌での原画展。両日合わせて約70名の方々にご来場いただきました。またそれに加えて『四季のきせき』出版元である共同文化社の社員の皆様や、会社のお取引先の方々も見にきてくださったので、入れ替わり立ち代わり様々な方々とお話をする事ができて、本当に楽しく興味深い充実した2日間になりました。
24日に到着後、会場である永山武四郎邸ならびに旧三菱工業寮へ。木々に囲まれたペパーミント色の洋館の、赤い絨毯が敷かれた階段を上がると、丸窓があるギャラリーが。入り口には原画展のポスターが立て掛けてあり、共同文化社代表取締役からのご挨拶や、永山武四郎と九州の意外な繋がり、また『四季のきせき』からの絵6点がパネル展示されました。
さらに奥の和室には『四季のきせき』の原画13枚が展示されました。柔らかな陽が窓から差し込む畳敷きのお部屋に、水彩の植物画がとてもよく合っていました。
札幌の地で、原画展を心待ちにしてくださっていた方々にお会いでき、絵や本の事はもちろん、北海道と九州の植生の違い等についても話が弾みました。出版社の方々にも、ようやくお会いしてご挨拶する事ができました。会社の皆さまには本当に温かく迎えていただき、この会社に出版をお願いして本当に良かったと、心から思いました。
お越しくださった皆様、本をご購入くださった皆様、原画展後に新作の原画をご購入くださった皆様、本当にありがとうございました。札幌での水彩画教室の開催を望んでくださっている方々がいる事も知り、いつか実現できたら素敵だと思っています。
最後に、心がこもった美しい原画展を開催してくださった共同文化社の皆様に、この場で改めてお礼をお伝えしたいと思います。本当にありがとうございました。
札幌は忘れられない場所になりました。またきっと訪れたいと思います。
I'm back from my exhibition in Sapporo city, Hokkaido. About 70 people visited the exhibition, and furthermore people who work at the publishing company where I published my book and their clients visited it. I had a great time meeting and talking with a lot of people all day long! It was a very interesting and inspiring, and fulfilling two days!
I loved the building where my paintings were exhibited, it had several Japanese-style rooms and western-style rooms. My paintings blended well with these rooms I think!
I was so pleased to meet people who have long awaited to see my paintings and talked with them about the paintings, the book, and the differences in vegetation between Hokkaido and Kyushu and so on. I met the people in the publishing company in person for the first time. They welcomed us really warmly, I'm again happy about the fact that I could publish my book with this company.
I sold some books, lots of paintings, also I was told by my friend that some people are interested in taking my painting lessons in Sapporo, I'm so grateful!
I'll cherish the beautiful memories I made there, and one day I'll go back to Sapporo again.
