新緑 Young Leaves
乾いた風に若い緑が揺れて心地よいです🌿

生い茂る碧玉色の草、紅玉髄のショール
あたかもサンゴの外被のようなロングドレスの
一方の端には、黒々とした髪の毛が照り映え
反対の先端からは黒い履き物が覗いていて
両の脇には白雪の靴下とハンケチ、手と顔の白さとが光る。
そのさまは遠くから見たならば、さぞや艶やかな毛虫が
楓の青葉を這う姿かと思えたでもあろう。

2024年4月の絵の教室 Painting Class 13 April 2024
数日前にタチツボスミレの群生を見つけていたので、朝からスミレ摘みに。さわやかな初夏の朝、今日は絵の教室でした。
スミレの花や葉は単純な形状をしていないので、まずはそのあたりをスケッチ。そして下描きせずに色を少しづつのせていきました。20分くらいかけて一つのお花を細かく描き込んでいきます。時には1ミリ以下の線を描く事も・・・！
そして45分後には、それぞれに素敵なスミレの花が咲きました☆時間内に仕上がらなかったところは、ご自宅で仕上げていただくという事で。
今日も皆さんには楽しく集中していただきました！いつもお近くからそして遠方から、こんな山奥までお越しいただき感謝です。
来月も第2土曜日に予定しています。また詳細は改めてお知らせします。
Today I had my painting class. We painted violet flowers, they are very small and delicate!
All my pupils painted it so well, you can see the results! What motivated and concentrated pupils they were as usual, I'm so grateful to them!

シャガが美しい季節になりました。ツルニチニチソウともよく合います。
Beautiful Japanese irises are starting to bloom. They look nice with big periwinkles.
古代ギリシャ彫刻 Ancient Greek Statues
ひょんなことから昔写真を見ながらデッサンしたものが二枚出てきました。以前「古代ギリシャ彫刻には当時、カラフルな色が塗られていたらしい」という記事を読んで大笑いした後にものすごく幻滅した事を思い出しました・・・色の塗られていない姿こそが美しいと思ってしまうのは何故なんでしょうか。ミロのヴィーナスの、存在しない腕を見たときに働く想像力が、この像に特別な美しさを与えているのと同じような事なのでしょうか。
I found these drawings by chance which I made a long time ago. I remember I read an article about ancient Greek statues, they were originally painted in vivid colours...I had to laugh a lot, but at the same time I was very disappointed in the fact. Why do they look more beautiful without colours, is that because we have more imagination when it is not painted? Just like Vénus de Milo, it has an extra beauty because of its lost arms?

2年目の今日 Two Years Ago Today
「もう2年」という感じと、「まだ2年前」と言う感情が入り混じっています。共同文化社が画文集『四季のきせき』を世に出してくださったのは2年前の今日でした。ムラサキケマンが静かな雨に打たれ、しっとり咲いている朝でした。
少しずつではありますが、この本を求めてくれている方々の所へ、一冊一冊確実に届いている実感があります。それは、この本を心を込めて作ってくださった方々がいて、大切に広めてくださっている方々がいて、そして、この本を愛して下さる方々がいるおかげです。その事に対して、日々感謝しかありません。そしてその一つ一つのご縁を思う時、いつも心が幸せで満たされます。
当たり前に見えているすべての事が実は奇跡なのだという事を、いつも忘れないでいたいと思います。そして、自然がそうであるように、少しでも美しい軌跡を残せるように私も生きていきたいと思うのです。
移ろいゆく季節の先には、いつも、のどかで平和な春の日溜まりが見えています。また来年のこの日も、巡り来る春の日に喜びの花を咲かせていられるようにと願いを込めつつ・・・感謝を込めて。
Exactly two years ago my book "Miracles/Traces of the Seasons" was published. I feel it was a long time ago, but at the same time, I feel it was quite recently.
I feel that my book is purchased by people who really want to own it, if not at an explosive pace. And that wouldn't have happened without the people who published it, who spread it and who really love it. I'm grateful to them!
I will not forget that everything that happens around me is a miracle, and I want to leave as beautiful traces in my life as nature always does.
