昨年業者に泣く泣くお庭の大木を切っていただいた際、根元から残してあった8〜10メートル、直径50cmから80cmの木。これを4日間で計9本、一人で切った83歳の父は、相変わらずの超人ぶりであります 笑。私達は見守り隊。ここまで大木になるまで切らなかったのは私達の責任なので、切る前には、一本ずつお酒を振りかけ(麻酔薬のつもり)、お塩で浄め、感謝をし、ごめんなさいとお祈りしました。全部、薪として大事に使います。

Last spring we asked a professional company to cut 9 big trees in our garden, they left about 8 to 10 meters of trees from the ground because my father wanted to cut them himself. And he really cut them: 9 trees were done in 4 days, I think he is a superman. It was our mistake that we just let them grow for 30 years, we showed our apology and appreciation to the trees by sprinkling salt and sake on them before cutting. We have several more big trees in our garden, but they are quite strong for typhoons so we just let them grow!
