ホタルブクロ。なんて詩的な名前でしょう、ほたるぶくろ。静かな夜に、蛍が入った花がちらちら揺れているなんて・・・！まだその光景を実際には見たことがありませんが、いつの日か見てみたいな、と思いながら描きました。描いたお友達は、蛍じゃなくてマルハナバチ。

Bellflower or Campanula. In Japanese this flower is called 'Firefly bag', what a poetic name! Imagine that fireflies stay in the flowers and light their bodies on a quiet evening...! I've never seen such a dreamy view yet so I would love to see it one day, that's what I wished for while I painted it today. Well, it's not a firefly but a bumblebee in the painting!
I'm glad that more pupils than I expected will attend my painting class at my house this weekend!
